BRASRDS/4/hwRadiusCachePacketThresholdAlarm_active: The number of cached packets reached the upper limit. (MaxCachePackets=[hwRadiusMaxCachePackets],Threshold=[hwRadiusThreshold])

This log is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The number of cached packets reached the upper limit.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

hwRadiusMaxCachePackets

Maximum number of accounting packets that can be cached

hwRadiusThreshold

Upper limit for packets that can be cached

Possible Causes

The ratio of the number of cached packets to the maximum number of packets that can be cached reached the configured upper limit.

Procedure

1.Check whether the upper limit specified by the Threshold parameter in the alarm information is proper.

  • If the upper limit is proper, go to Step 2.
  • If the upper limit is improper, run the radius-server accounting cache-warning-threshold upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to increase the upper limit for packets that can be cached.

2.Run the test-aaa command to check whether the link to the RADIUS server is normal. If the interval between request and response packets is greater than 30s, the link to the RADIUS server is busy. If no response is returned, the link to the RADIUS server is unreachable.

  • If the link to the RADIUS server is normal, go to Step 3.
  • If the link to the RADIUS server is abnormal, rectify the link fault.

3.Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
