For WiFi users, the IP-CAN-Type AVP is set to WLAN. In other modes, the IP-CAN-Type AVP is set to XDSL. The PCRF determines a policy for users based on the IP-CAN-Type AVP. The policy used varies with the access mode. When the access mode changes, the PCEF sends a message carrying a new access mode and the IP_CAN_CHANGE trigger. The message requests that the PCRF deliver a relevant policy so that the PCEF can implement policy control based on the access mode. |
