Configuring Multicast Program Bandwidth

Configuring static bandwidth for multicast programs allows fixed bandwidth to be allocated to the multicast programs. Dynamic bandwidth adjustment ensures sufficient bandwidth resources for multicast programs when unicast service bandwidth exceeds the assured bandwidth.

Procedure

Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run multicast bandwidth
The multicast bandwidth view is displayed.
Run multicast-list { name list-name | index list-index | start-list-index start-list-index end-list-index end-list-index } { bandwidth bandwidth-value | detect-interval interval threshold threshold }
Multicast program bandwidth is configured.
- bandwidth bandwidth-value: configures the static bandwidth for multicast programs. In this case, the router always allocates the bandwidth of bandwidth-value to the multicast programs.
- detect-interval interval threshold threshold: configures dynamic bandwidth adjustment for the multicast programs. The router measures the program bandwidth every interval seconds. If the bandwidth change threshold is not reached, the program bandwidth is regarded as normal. Otherwise, the unicast bandwidth is adjusted without changing the total bandwidth of the user.
