This section describes how to configure traffic suppression for special reserved multicast groups to reduce the load that a large volume of traffic poses on the network.
A growing number of special reserved multicast group packets in the broadcast domain consume a large amount of network resources, which degrades network performance. You can run the standard-group mac-address suppression enable command to enable traffic suppression for special reserved multicast groups to control the multicast traffic.
The system view is displayed.
The traffic suppression function is enabled for special reserved multicast groups.
The standard-group mac-address suppression enable command takes effect only after the multicast-suppression command is configured.
The configuration is committed.
