Application Scenarios for Mirroring
Mirroring is typically used as a tool to diagnose network faults.
In the example shown in Figure 1, mirroring is configured on the NetEngine 8000 F. Port1 mirrors the imported packets and Port3 serves as an observing port. Packets sent or received by Port1 can be output from Port3 to an analyzer. You can obtain and analyze packets sent or received by the mirroring port to locate faults.
