Activating and Viewing Digital Warranties

Digital warranties record the service life of devices and components. Users can process the information about the service life in digital warranties to support the market lifecycle management.

In VS mode, only the admin VS supports the following procedure.

Procedure

Activate digital warranties of a device.
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run warranty
  The digital warranty view is displayed.
3. Run activate warranty serial-number serial-number-value start-date start-date-value life-span life-span-value
  A digital warranty is activated.
4. (Optional) Run alarm enable
  The alarm function for digital warranties is enabled.
View digital warranties on a device.
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run warranty
  The digital warranty view is displayed.
3. Run display warranty [ device | parts [ slot slot-id ] ]
  Information about the activated digital warranties on the device or a specified board is displayed.
