Manual Configuration + PCEP Delegation

On the network shown in Figure 1, labels are allocated by devices and advertised through an IGP SR extension; network topology and label information is collected through BGP-LS. On each forwarder, a strict explicit path is manually configured to establish an SR-MPLS TE tunnel, and the tunnel is delegated to the controller. The controller runs PCEP to deliver associated label stack information, instructing the forwarders to forward data.

Controller-based Path Computation

On the network shown in Figure 2, labels are allocated by devices and advertised through an IGP SR extension. Network topology and label information is collected through BGP-LS and then sent to the controller for path computation. After computing an SR tunnel path, the controller runs NETCONF to deliver associated label stack information, instructing the forwarders to forward data.

DCI services on the network are carried over an L3VPN in per tenant per VPN mode. Within each DC, tenants are isolated, and the DC gateway accesses the L3VPN through a VLAN sub-interface. The VPN services of tenants are carried over the primary and backup SR-MPLS TE paths.
