SR-MPLS TE Policy Application

On the network shown in Figure 1, DCI services are carried over an L3VPN in per tenant per VPN mode. Within each DC, tenants are isolated, and the DC gateway accesses the L3VPN through a VLAN sub-interface. The VPN services of the tenants are carried using different SR-MPLS TE Policies.

The key items to be configured are as follows:
  • IGP SR: IGPs are extended to support SR-related functions, such as advertising SR capabilities, allocating labels, and propagating label information.
  • BGP-LS: BGP-LS is mainly used to collect network topology and label information and report the information to a controller for SR-MPLS TE Policy computation.
  • BGP SR-MPLS TE Policy address family-specific BGP peer relationship: Such a peer relationship needs to be established between the controller and PE, so that the controller can deliver an SR-MPLS TE Policy route to the PE through the peer relationship to direct traffic forwarding. A NETCONF neighbor relationship can also be configured between the controller and PE, so that you can configure an SR-MPLS TE Policy through NETCONF.
