Disabling Automatic Bandwidth Configuration for Physical Interfaces

You can disable automatic bandwidth configuration for physical interfaces during the network planning.

Usage Scenario

Automatic bandwidth configuration is enabled by default on a physical interface. Without this function enabled, after an NMS delivers the TE bandwidth of 0 kbit/s to a physical interface, the device uses the delivered bandwidth, not the actual bandwidth.

Pre-configuration Tasks

To disable automatic bandwidth configuration on a specific physical interface, enable MPLS TE on an existing interface.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run mpls

    The MPLS view is displayed.

  3. Run mpls te

    MPLS TE is enabled globally.

  4. Run mpls te physical-interface bandwidth-auto-config disable

Automatic bandwidth configuration on a physical interface is disabled.

  5. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.

Checking the Configurations

Run the display this command in the MPLS view to view the automatic bandwidth configurations on physical interfaces.
