Measurement Type
TWAMP-Light supports non-bundled-link measurement and trunk-based measurement.
In non-bundled-link measurement as shown in Figure 1, when multiple member links exist between the Controller and Responder, the quality of one member link represents the quality of all member links.
In trunk-based measurement shown in Figure 2, three trunk member links are bundled as a virtual link between the Controller and Responder, and the two ends of the virtual link are both bound to a specified trunk interface when a measurement session is established. In this way, the performance of each member link in the bundled link can be monitored. This method avoids the problem that the quality of a member link represents the quality of all member links, as such a problem results in a large error. After the performance indicators of each member link are obtained, traffic with different QoS requirements can be scheduled to different member links as required.
