Collecting the Traffic Statistics of a VPLS PW

After configuring the function to collect VPLS traffic statistics, check information about the traffic on VPLS PWs.

Context

If a carrier needs to create a model of traffic between IP MANs and between MPLS core MANs for the reference of DiffServ TE deployment and maintenance, or the carrier needs to charge the non-monthly rental subscribers based on traffic, the carrier can collect the traffic statistics of a specified PW.

Procedure

Run system-view command to enter the system view.
Run vsi vsi-name [ static | auto ]
The VSI view is displayed.
Run the following commands as needed:
- LDP VPLS
  1. Run pwsignal ldp
    The VSI-LDP view is displayed.
  2. Run traffic-statistics peer peer-address [ negotiation-vc-id vc-id ] enable or traffic-statistics enable
    The traffic statistics collection function is enabled for an LDP VPLS PW.
- BGP VPLS
  1. Run pwsignal bgp
    The VSI-BGP view is displayed.
  2. Run traffic-statistics peer peer-address remote-site site-id enable
    The traffic statistics collection function is enabled for a BGP VPLS PW.
- BGP AD VPLS
  1. Run bgp-ad
    The VSI-BGP AD view is displayed.
  2. Run traffic-statistics enable or traffic-statistics peer peer-address enable
    Traffic statistics collection is enabled for BGP AD VPLS PWs.
- BGP Multi-homing VPLS
  1. Run pwsignal bgp multi-homing
    VPLS multi-homing is enabled.
  2. Run traffic-statistics peer peer-address enable
    Traffic statistics collection for a PW is enabled.
Run quit
Return to the VSI view.
Run traffic-statistics packet-type enable
Packet-type-based traffic statistics collection is enabled for VPLS PWs.

Traffic statistics collection has been enabled for VPLS PWs using the traffic-statistics enable command.
Run commit
The configuration is committed.
