Interface-based ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the inbound interfaces of packets.

Basic ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the source IP addresses of packets.

Advanced ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the source or destination IP addresses of packets and protocol types. It filters packets based on protocol information, such as TCP source and destination port numbers and the ICMP type and code.

Layer 2 ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the Ethernet frame header information, such as source or destination Media Access Control (MAC) addresses, protocol types of Ethernet frames, or 802.1p priorities.

User ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the source/destination IP address, source/destination service group, source/destination user group, source/destination port number, and protocol type.

MPLS-based ACL

A list of rules for packet filtering based on the EXP values, Label values, or TTL values of MPLS packets.
