L2IFPPI/4/BLACKHOLEMAC:The blackhole MAC address is configured, which may cause some packets to be discarded. (MAC=[STRING], VLAN/VSI=[ULONG], VLANVALID=[ULONG])

Description

A blackhole MAC address entry is created in a VLAN or VSI. This may cause some packets to be discarded.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

MAC

Specifies the MAC address in the blackhole MAC address entry.

VLAN/VSI

Specifies the VLAN ID or VSI index in the blackhole MAC address entry.

VLANVALID

Specifies the VLAN ID or VSI index.

Possible Causes

A blackhole MAC address entry is created in a VLAN or VSI.

Procedure

  1. If some packets are discarded, run the display mac-address blackhole command to check blackhole MAC address entries and determine whether the packets are discarded because of the blackhole MAC address entries.
    • If so, go to step 2.
    • If not, go to step 4.
  2. Determine whether to retain the configured blackhole MAC address entries.
    • If so, go to step 4.
    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 3.
  3. Run the undo mac-address blackhole command to delete blackhole MAC address entries.
  4. End.
