Impact on the System

The AS cannot go online or be registered.

Possible Causes

  • No license was available on the parent or the license expired.
  • The models of member devices in the AS stack system were different.
  • The port connecting the parent to the AS was not bound to the corresponding indirectly-connected fabric port.
  • Ports of the AS were configured as member ports of an uplink fabric port.
  • An AS with the same ESN has gone online.
  • The number of ASs and APs connected to the parent has reached the maximum number of CAPWAP links.
  • The authentication profile pre-configured on an AS is different from that on other ASs connected to the same fabric port.

Procedure

  • No license was available on the parent or the license expired.

    Load a new license.

  • The models of member devices in the AS stack system were different.

Use devices with the same model, port type, and port quantity to establish a stack system.

  • The port connecting the parent to the AS was not bound to the corresponding indirectly-connected fabric port.

Bind the port connecting the parent to the AS to the corresponding indirectly-connected fabric port.

  • ASMNG/2/ASACCESSPORTINVALID: OID [oid] AS fails to go online.

    1. Check whether the configuration on the AS interface is necessary. If the configuration is necessary, go to step 2. If not, follow these instructions to delete the configuration:
      • If the interface has been added to an AS port group in the port group view, run the undo as name as-name interface interface-type interface-number in the port group view to remove the interface from the AS port group. Then, you must run the commit as name as-name command to commit the configuration in the uni-mng view, so that the service template configuration will be deleted from the interface.
      • If directly issued service configuration of the interface is found in the uni-mng view, run the undo direct-command view interface-type interface-number command command-text command in the uni-mng view to delete the configuration.
    2. If configuration on the interface is necessary, use another interface as the member port of the uplink fabric port.

  • An AS with the same ESN has gone online.

Replace the AS with a new one.

  • The number of ASs and APs connected to the parent has reached the maximum number of CAPWAP links.

    • Remove unnecessary ASs or APs.
    • Migrate ASs or APs to another parent of which the number of CAPWAP links has not reached the maximum value.
    • Replace the parent with another one supporting more CAPWAP links.

  • The authentication profile pre-configured on an AS is different from that on other ASs connected to the same fabric port.

Bind the same authentication profile to the AS as that configured on other ASs.
