Description

CLKMIB/4/SYSCLKNOTINLOCKEDMODE: OID [oid] The work mode of system clock is not in locked mode.(hwClockAttributeChassisIndex = [integer], hwClockChassisId = [integer],hwClockSourceSysClkWorkMode = [integer])

The clock source was out of lock.

Impact on the System

The device fails to synchronize the clock with other devices configured with a higher SSM quality level.

Possible Causes

  1. No external clock source was available to trace.
  2. The external clock source failed to be traced due to poor quality. For example, frequency offset occurs.
  3. The clock source tracing mode was forcibly specified as free.

Procedure

  1. Run the display clock config command to check whether the working mode of the clock source is normal.

    • If yes, go to Step 2.

    • If not, go to Step 4.

  2. Run the display clock source command to check whether a clock source is available for tracing. For example, check whether the clock source status is normal, whether the user is configured with a priority, and whether the clock source is configured with an available SSM quality level.

    • If a clock source is available for tracing, go to Step 5.

    • If no clock source is available for tracing, go to Step 3.

  3. Reconfigure the clock attributes on the local interface. For details, see Synchronous Ethernet Configuration in "Configuring Synchronous Ethernet" of S2720, S5700, and S6700 V200R019C10 Configuration Guide - Device Management Configuration Guide.
  4. Run the clock run-mode normal command to configure the working mode of the clock source as normal and check whether the configuration result is successful.

    • If yes, go to Step 2.

    • If not, go to Step 5.

  5. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
