DEFD/3/IPC_FAIL:IPC failed to send message to the
slot [ULONG]. (MessageName=[STRING])
Description
The active
switch failed to send IPC messages to a member switch.
Parameters
Parameter Name
Parameter Meaning
[ULONG]
Indicates the stack ID.
[STRING]
Indicates the message name.
Possible Causes
The member
switch was abnormal.
Procedure
Run the display device command to check
whether the member switch has registered.
If so, go to step 3.
If not, go to step 2.
If the member
switch has not registered, IPC communication fails, which is
normal. This log is informational only, and no action is required.
Collect log information about IPC message sending failures
of the member switch, and contact technical support personnel. You can collect diagnostic information using the display diagnostic-information command.
