Description

EMDI_MB/4/EMDI_TRAP_OVERTHRESHOLD:OID [oid] The monitor indicator of the EMDI instance exceeded the threshold in 3 consecutive periods.(EmdiInstId=[INTEGER], Type=[INTEGER], Value=[INTEGER], Threshold=[INTEGER]/100000)

A monitoring indicator detected by an eMDI instance exceeded the alarm threshold in three consecutive monitoring intervals.

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.227.2.1.58 Warning qualityOfServiceAlarm(3)

Parameters

Name Meaning
OID Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.
EmdiInstId Indicates the eMDI instance ID.
Type

Indicates the eMDI alarm threshold type:

  • 1: Alarm generated when the loss rate of RTP packets transported over UDP exceeds the threshold
  • 2: Alarm generated when the out-of-order rate of RTP packets transported over UDP exceeds the threshold
  • 3: Alarm generated when the loss rate of downstream TCP packets exceeds the threshold
  • 4: Alarm generated when the loss rate of upstream TCP packets exceeds the threshold
Value Indicates the value of an eMDI monitoring indicator.
Threshold Indicates the eMDI alarm threshold.

Impact on the System

The network transmission quality deteriorates.

Possible Causes

The packet loss rate or out-of-order packet rate of services monitored by an eMDI instance exceeds the threshold.

Procedure

  1. Run the display emdi statistics instance command to check eMDI instance statistics and determine whether a fault occurs.
  2. Demarcate the fault based on statistics about eMDI instances on multiple devices.
