Parameters

Name Meaning

OID

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

InterfaceIndex

Indicates the interface index.

InterfaceName

Indicates the interface name.

ErrorRate

Indicates the error packet rate.

TrapThreshold

Indicates the trap threshold.

Impact on the System

This interface may discard some service data.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The optical module failed.

Cause 2: The optical fiber failed.

Cause 3: The length of frames received by the interface was too long.

Procedure

  1. Replace the optical module and run the display interface command to check whether the number of error packets received by the interface keeps increasing.
    1. If so, go to step 2.
    2. If not, go to step 5.
  2. Replace the optical fiber and run the display interface command to check whether the number of error packets received by the interface keeps increasing.
    1. If so, go to step 3.
    2. If not, go to step 5.
  3. Run the jumboframe enable command to modify the restriction on packet length or modify the packet length, and then run the display interface command to check whether the number of error packets received by the interface keeps increasing.
    1. If so, go to step 4.
    2. If not, go to step 5.
  4. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
