Description

MGMD/3/hwMgmdHostStarGExceed:OID [oid] IGMP or MLD total (*, G) entries on the host side cannot be created because the limit is reached. (hwMgmdNotificationAddressType=[integer], hwMgmdHostNotificationSrcAddr=[binary], hwMgmdHostNotificationGrpAddr=[binary], hwMgmdHostStarGCurrentCount=[integer], hwMgmdInstanceName=[string])

The total number of (*, G) entries of all instances exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Impact on the System

New (*, G) entries cannot be created, because the total number of (*, G) entries of all instances has exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Possible Causes

The total number of (*, G) entries of all instances exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Procedure

  1. Confirm whether network expansion is required. If network expansion is required, contact technical support personnel.
  2. If the IGMP or MLD (*, G) entries of an address family and instance indicated in the alarm information are not needed, delete them to reduce the number of (*, G) entries.
  3. End.
