Description

WLAN/4/AP_POE_PD_CLASS_OVER_CURRENT:OID [oid] A port detects a PD whose current exceeds the threshold of the corresponding class. (APMAC=[OPAQUE], APName=[STRING], ApIfIndex=[INTEGER], ApEntityPhysicalName=[OCTET], APID=[INTEGER])

An AP that supports PoE out detects that overcurrent occurs during PD classification and does not provide power for a PD.

Possible Causes

The PD does not comply with standards.

Procedure

  1. You can run the poe high-inrush enable command in the AP system profile view to configure an interface to allow generation of the high pulse current. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If so, go to step 4.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Replace the PD and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If so, go to step 4.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
