Hierarchical Quality of Service (HQoS) uses queue-based hierarchical scheduling to provide fine-granular quality guarantee for services of different users.
HQoS has been introduced to address these issues by differentiating user traffic and schedule traffic based on service priorities. HQoS uses multiple levels of queues to further differentiate service traffic, and provides uniform management and hierarchical scheduling for transmission objects such as users and services. HQoS enables network devices to control internal resources with the existing hardware, providing QoS guarantee for advanced users while reducing network construction cost.
Only the S5720-HI, S5731-S, S5731S-S, S5731-H, and S5731S-H support the HQoS function.
