Non-Huawei-certified optical modules may not work as expected. To ensure correct functionality, you are advised to user Huawei-certified optical modules. If non-Huawei-certified optical modules are used on a device produced after July 1, 2013 (January 1, 2016 for QSFP+ 40GE optical modules), the device generates alarms that prompt you to replace these optical modules with Huawei-certified switch optical modules. In addition, older optical modules may not record vendor information, resulting in the same alarms being generated. To continue using these optical modules without generating the associated alarms, you can disable the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified optical modules.
