Basic IGMP snooping functions in a VLAN enable the switch to create and maintain a Layer 2 multicast forwarding table for on-demand multicast data transmission at the data link layer.

Before configuring IGMP snooping functions in a VLAN, create the VLAN.

Enabling IGMP Snooping and Configuring the IGMP Snooping Version are mandatory and other tasks are optional.
