Configuring a 6PE Peer

Context

A PE device configured with a 6PE peer can exchange routes with an IPv6 device in the IPv6 address family view.

Only S5720-EI, S5720-HI, S5730-HI, S5731-H, S5731S-H, S5732-H, S6720-EI, S6720-HI, S6720S-EI, S6730S-H, and S6730-H support 6PE.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run bgp { as-number-plain | as-number-dot }

    The BGP view is displayed.

  3. Run peer ipv4-address as-number { as-number-plain | as-number-dot }

    The peer IP address and the ID of the AS where the peer resides are specified.

  4. Run peer ipv4-address connect-interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface connected to the peer PE is specified.

  5. Run ipv6-family

    The BGP-IPv6 unicast address family view is displayed.

  6. Run peer ipv4-address enable

    The 6PE peer is enabled.

  7. Run peer ipv4-address label-route-capability

    The 6PE device is enabled to exchange labeled routes.
