When the member port receives a Report message from a downstream host, the switch sets the aging time to: Robustness variable x General Query interval + Maximum response time for General Query messages.
If the member port receives a Done message from a downstream host, the switch sets the aging time to: Last member query interval x Robustness variable.
When deploying a Layer 2 multicast network, ensure that all Layer 2 multicast devices use the same parameter values to calculate the aging time of dynamic group member ports. In particular, ensure that the MLD snooping general query interval is consistent. Varying parameters will result in errors in Layer 2 multicast forwarding.

The MLD snooping general query interval is configured.
By default, the MLD snooping general query interval is 125 seconds.
The default general query interval defined in RFC documents is 125 seconds, but some vendors define their own default general query intervals. It is recommended that all devices on a multicast network use the same general query intervals (including MLD and MLD snooping general query intervals). On Huawei fixed switches, the default values of the MLD general query interval and MLD snooping general query interval are both 125 seconds.
The MLD snooping robustness variable is configured.
By default, the MLD snooping robustness variable is 2.
The MLD snooping maximum response time is set.
By default, the MLD snooping maximum response time is 10 seconds.
The MLD snooping last member query interval is configured.
By default, the MLD snooping last member query interval is 1 second.
