Trap Buffer Description

IP address is conflict. (PoolNo.=[PoolNo],Conflict ip=[Conflict-ip],PoolName=[PoolName])

The IP address obtained by the client has been used on the network.

In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

This alarm is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Impact on the System

An address conflict will occur, and users cannot go online.

Possible Causes

The IP address obtained by the client has been used on the network. In this case, an address conflict alarm is generated and the conflicting IP address wil not used until the device is restarted.

Procedure

1. Make the user go online again.

2. If the user still fails to go online, no address in the address pool is available for assignment. In this case, run the section section-num start-ip-address [end-ip-address] command in the corresponding address pool view to reconfigure an address pool.

3. Check whether the fault persists.

If the fault persists, go to Step 4.
If the fault is rectified, go to Step 5.

4. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
