Impact on the System

The IP addresses in the address pool of the domain were used up. Therefore, the user failed to obtain an IP address and thus cannot go online.

Possible Causes

The IP addresses in the address pool of the domain were used up because there were excessive access users.

Procedure

1. Run the display domain name command to check whether an IP address pool is bound to the domain and whether the IP-address-pool-name field is displayed.

  • If not, configure an IP address pool. For details, see the Configuration Guide - BRAS.
  • If an IP address pool is configured, go to Step 2.

2. Run the display ip pool name command to check the idle field. If the value of the Idle field is 0, no IP address segment is available in the address pool. In this case, go to Step 3.

3. Run the section command in the corresponding address pool view or run the ip-pool command in the domain view to add an address pool and increase the number of IP addresses.

4. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If yes, go to Step 6.
  • If no, go to Step 5.

5. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

6. End.
