Impact on the System

The link-heartbeat linkage packet-modify enable command run in the slot view may lead to operations, such as interface shutdown, subcard resetting, and board resetting. After such operations are performed, if the alarm persists, a hardware fault occurs, which may cause packets to be modified. This problem needs to be solved immediately.

Possible Causes

The link-heartbeat detection packet was modified on the link.

Procedure

1. Run the power off slot slot-id and power on slot slot-id commands on the boards at both ends of the direct link. After the boards are registered, check whether the alarm is cleared.

If so, go to Step 4.
If not, go to Step 2.

2. Replace the board, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If so, go to Step 4.
If not, go to Step 3.

3. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support.

4. End.
