Possible Causes

A user shut down the laser on a port through the NMS or CLI.

Procedure

1. Run the display laser status command in all views to check the actual laser status.

  • If the laser status is OFF, go to Step 2.
  • If the laser status is ON, go to Step 3.

2. Run the laser turn-on command in the interface view to manually enable the optical module laser. Remove the laser shutdown settings and check whether the fault is rectified.

  • If yes, go to Step 4.
  • If no, go to Step 3.

3. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information and contact technical support engineers.

4. End.
