Trap Buffer Description

Failed to apply for user queue resources for the EDSG. (Slot = [Slot])

The EDSG service failed to be activated because the board's SQ resources were insufficient.

In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

This alarm is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Impact on the System

The existing services are not affected, but new access users' value-added service resources fail to be applied for and the EDSG service fails to be activated.

Possible Causes

When the EDSG service used SQ for rate limit, the number of SQ resources that were requested for EDSG service activation exceeded the upper limit.

Procedure

1. Add an interface board and check whether the trap is cleared.

If the trap is cleared, go to Step 3.
If the trap persists, go to Step 2.

2. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
