mpls oam l2vc lost-measure single-ended proactive

Function

The mpls oam l2vc lost-measure single-ended proactive command enables proactive single-ended frame loss measurement (LM) on a PW side.

The undo mpls oam l2vc lost-measure single-ended proactive command deletes the configuration.

By default, proactive single-ended frame loss measurement (LM) is not enabled on the PW side.

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
exp exp-value

Sets a priority value for LMMs.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 7. The larger the value, the higher the priority. The default value is 7.

peer-ip peer-ip

Specifies the destination IP address of a PW.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

vc-id vc-id

Specifies the PW ID.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4294967295.

vc-type vc-type

Specifies the type of a remote L2VC.

Encapsulation types supported:
  • Other encapsulation types:
    • cep: This encapsulation type is used for CEP services.
    • ethernet: This encapsulation type is used when Ethernet packets do not carry VLAN information.
    • ip-interworking: This encapsulation type is used for interworking between Huawei devices.
    • ip-layer2: This encapsulation type is used for interworking between Huawei devices and non-Huawei devices.
    • vlan: This encapsulation type is used when Ethernet packets carry VLAN information.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Packet LM is a performance monitoring function provided by MPLS-TP. Single-ended frame LM is implemented on two MEPs over an LSP. The measurement results include the following data:

  • Near-end frame loss: indicates the number and percentage of dropped frames that are sent from an RMEP to a MEP.
  • Far-end frame loss: indicates the number and percentage of dropped frames that are sent from a MEP to an RMEP.

Prerequisites

  • MPLS and MPLS OAM have been enabled globally.
  • The MPLS-OAM view has been displayed.
  • The PW that MPLS OAM monitors has been established.

Precautions

  • This function must be enabled on both the local and remote ends to display correct statistics about proactive single-ended frame loss measurement on the local end.
  • The system can display a maximum of 60 proactive single-ended frame LM records. If the number of proactive single-ended frame LM records exceeds 60, the earlier records are overwritten.

Example

# Enables proactive single-ended frame loss measurement (LM) on the PW side and set the priority value for LMMs to 1.
