Function

The active port-basic command activates interface-specific basic hardware licenses.

The undo active port-basic command deactivates interface-specific basic hardware licenses.

By default, the interface-specific basic hardware licenses is deactivate.

Format

For NetEngine 8000 F1A, NetEngine 8000 F2A:

active port-basic slot slot-id card card-id port port-list

undo active port-basic slot slot-id card card-id [ port port-list ]

For NetEngine 8000 F2A:

active port-basic slot slot-id card card-id port port-list [ port-band ]

undo active port-basic slot slot-id card card-id [ port port-list ] [ port-band ]

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
port port-list	Specifies a port list corresponding to the license type on the current subcard. You only need to specify the port number that is not activated each time. The port number configured this time will be accumulated and combined with the list of configured ports.	The value is a string, the length of the string ranges from 1 to 256.
slot slot-id	Specifies the slot ID of a controlled board.	The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.
card card-id	Specifies the ID of a controlled subcard.	The value is an integer that ranges from 0 to 4294967295.
port-band	Specifies the bandwidth type of the port. NOTE: This parameter is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F2A.	The value can be: 200G 400G

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Before activating a basic hardware license on a port, determine the current working mode of the port. During the activation, the system automatically allocates license resources based on the current working mode of the port.

The basic hardware license must be activated on the port. Otherwise, the port bandwidth is limited and the enhanced hardware license for other services cannot be activated. To activate a port-basic hardware license, run the active port-basic command. You can deactivate such licenses either for a single port or for a batch of ports on a specified subcard.

Precautions

For the ANDD0EM10F00 subcard, the interface mode is GE by default. If the corresponding 10G license is not activated, the port cannot be switched to the 10GE mode. If a 10G optical module is installed before the 10G license is activated, run the port-mode 10GE command or remove and insert the optical module to switch to the 10GE mode.
