authentication-scheme(Service policy view)

Function

The authentication-scheme command configures an authentication scheme for the current service policy scheme.

The undo authentication-scheme command cancels authentication scheme for the current service policy scheme currently configured.

By default, the service policy scheme for the current service policy is not configured.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

authentication-scheme authentication-scheme-name

undo authentication-scheme [ authentication-scheme-name ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
authentication-scheme-name

Specifies the name of an authorization scheme.

The value is a string of 1 to 32 case-insensitive characters. The name should follow the naming criterion of Windows, that is, it does not contain such characters as \, /, |, :, *, ?, ", <, and >.

Usage Scenario

This command configures an authentication scheme for the current service policy scheme when the authentication is necessary to the service. the authentication will be processed according to the authentication scheme.

Prerequisites

The authentication scheme has been configured.

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.

Currently, the EDSG service only supports no-authentication and RADIUS authentication.
