Function

The authentication command enables multicast user authentication.

The undo authentication command disables multicast user authentication.

By default, multicast user authentication is enabled.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After this command is configured for a multicast profile, all users in the domain with which the multicast profile is associated need be authenticated when they use the multicast services.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Configure multicast users in profile1 to be controllable.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] aaa
[~HUAWEI-aaa] multicast-profile profile1
[~HUAWEI-aaa-mprofile-profile1] authentication
