Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

A CPE sends packets carrying a destination IP address that is set to the BR's local IPv6 address. To configure a local IPv6 address, run the br-ipv6-address command.

Precautions

A single local IPv6 address can be configured in each MAP-E instance. The local IPv6 address is mutually exclusive with an interface IP address, an address in a BRAS address pool, and a PCPv6 server address.

Example

# Create a MAP-E instance named test, access the MAP-E instance view, and configure a local IPv6 address for a BR named br1.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] map-e instance test id 111
[*HUAWEI-mape-instance-test] br-ipv6-address br1
