Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

A CPE sends packets carrying a destination IP address that is set to the BR's local IPv6 address. To configure a local IPv6 address, run the br-ipv6-address command.

Precautions

A single local IPv6 address can be configured in each MAP-T or MAP-E instance. The local IPv6 address is mutually exclusive with an interface IP address, an address in a BRAS address pool, and a PCPv6 server address.

Example

# Set a local IPv6 address to 2001:db8::1 with the prefix length of 96 bits for a BR named test in the system view.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] br-ipv6-address zzz ipv6-address 2001:db8::1 prefix-length 96
