Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To prevent downlink congestion caused by heavy traffic and affect queue scheduling on CPU ports, you can configure rate limit for trunk packets and dumb terminal packets to limit the rate of packets. This prevents other protocol packets from being sent to the CPU due to CPU scheduling blocking.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Set the CIR to 20000 kbit/s and CBS to 6400000 bytes for trunk packets and inter-board packets on a dumb terminal.
