Function

The oam-bind ingress evpn df interface egress cfm md ma command enables EVPN to send DF election results to CFM.

The undo oam-bind ingress evpn df interface egress cfm md ma command disables EVPN from sending DF election results to CFM.

By default, EVPN is disabled from sending DF election results to CFM

md-name	Specifies the name of an MD.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported.
ma-name	Specifies the name of an MA.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported. The total length of MA and MD names must be no greater than 44 characters.

Usage Scenario

In dual-homing single-active EVPN networking where the DF election result is used to determine the active/standby state of PEs, association between CFM and EVPN DF election can be configured to improve device- and link-level reliability.

Association between CFM and EVPN DF election is unidirectional. With this function enabled, the result of electing a PE as the backup DF is reported to CFM, which then notifies the CE of the fault, triggering the CE to clear the MAC entries of a range of VLANs associated with Ethernet CFM.

If the ccm tlv interface-status command is run, CFM notifies the CE of the fault by encapsulating the interface down state into the Interface Status TLV carried in a CCM.
If the ccm tlv interface-status command is not run, CFM notifies the CE of the fault through the RDI carried in a CCM.

Prerequisites

Before associating CFM with EVPN DF election, you have completed the following tasks:

Configure basic CFM functions.
Configure basic EVPN functions.
Configure a CFM association on the CE to trigger deletion of MAC address entries.
