The controller-ip command configures an IP address for a CUSP controller.
The undo controller-ip command deletes the controller-side IP address of a CUSP channel.
By default, no controller-side IP address is configured for a CUSP channel.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
In a CU separation scenario, the controller and forwarders communicate through CUSP channels. In this case, you need to run the controller-ip command to configure a controller-side IP address for the CUSP channel to be connected to a forwarder.
NOTE: This command is delivered by the vBRAS-CP to the vBRAS-UP.Prerequisites
The CUSP forwarder view has been displayed by running the cusp agent <agent-name> command.
Configuration Impact
After the controller-ip command is run on a forwarder, the forwarder and the controller establish a TCP connection for CUSP exchanges.
Precautions
This command is supported only on the admin VS.
After the undo controller-ip command is run, the related CUSP session is interrupted.
