dhcp discover-speed-threshold

Function

The dhcp discover-speed-threshold command configures the speed threshold at which discover packets are received.

The undo dhcp discover-speed-threshold command deletes the speed threshold at which discover packets are received.

By default, the speed at which discover packets are received is not specified.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dhcp discover-speed-threshold packet-number seconds

undo dhcp discover-speed-threshold

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
packet-number

Specifies the maximum number of discover packets that are received within a specified time period.

The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 3000.

seconds

Specifies the maximum number of discover packets that are received within a specified time period.

The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 10.

Usage Scenario

The dhcp discover-speed-threshold command is used when the speed at which users go online needs to be limited.

Configuration Impact

The more discover packets are received within a specified time period, the faster users go online.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

# Configure the speed threshold at which a maximum of 100 discover packets are received to 3 seconds.
