dhcp invalid-server-detecting

Function

The dhcp invalid-server-detecting command configures an interval at which the device checks the invalid DHCPv4 server. If the interval is not specified, the current configuration of checking the invalid DHCPv4 server is displayed.

By default, no interval for checking the invalid DHCPv4 server is configured.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dhcp invalid-server-detecting [ interval ]

Parameter Description Value
interval

Specifies an interval for checking invalid DHCPv4 server.

The value is an integer ranges from 0 to 65535, in seconds. 0 indicates no check is performed.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To detect an invalid DHCPv4 server in the network that is connected to the BRAS, you can run the dhcp invalid-server-detecting command. After the command is run, the device checks the invalid DHCPv4 server at set intervals.

NOTE:

Only main interfaces and BAS interface supporting single-tagged packets can identify the invalid DHCPv4 server.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
