Table 1 Description of the display mpls l2vpn pw-aps command output
Item Description
APS Information:

PW APS instance information.

Description

Description of a PW APS instance. The description can be configured using the description command.

Local Id

Local number of a PW APS instance.

Mode

Indicates the role of the PW APS instance:

  • PW-APS: PW automatic protection switching.
  • PW-FPS: PW fast protection switching.
  • MC-PW-APS: PW APS mode with the same source and different sinks.
Status

PW APS instance status:

  • LO: Services are locked to the primary PW.
  • SF_P: The secondary or bypass PW becomes faulty.
  • FS: Services are forcibly switched from the primary PW to the secondary or bypass PW.
  • SF: The primary PW becomes faulty.
  • SD_P: Signals degrade on the secondary or bypass PW.
  • SD: Signals degrade on the primary PW.
  • MS: Services are manually switched from the primary PW to the secondary or bypass PW.
  • WTR: The system is waiting to switch traffic back from the secondary or bypass PW to the primary PW.
  • EXER: A protocol-layer APS exercise is triggered.
  • RR: The local end switches from the NR mode to the RR mode upon the receipt of an APS exercise packet from the remote end.
  • DNR: In NR mode, traffic travels along the secondary PW even after the primary PW recovers. The APS state machine enters the DNR state.
  • NR: The primary, secondary, or bypass PW is normal.
Work Path Status

Working path status of a PW APS instance:

  • NoDefect: The working path is normal.
  • Defect: The working path is faulty.
  • Defect_Sd: Signals degrade on the working path.
  • --: Path status is not detected. If the role of a PW APS instance is slave, Work Path Status is displayed as --.

For a PW APS instance, the primary PW serves as the working path and the secondary PW serves as the protection path. In an E-PW APS scenario in which the role of a PW APS instance is master, the bypass PW serves as the working path and the primary PW serves as the protection path.

Protect Path Status

Protection path status of a PW APS instance:

  • NoDefect: The protection path is normal.
  • Defect: The protection path is faulty.
  • Defect_Sd: Signals degrade on the protection path.

Far End Status

Remote PW APS status. The value is consistent with the Status field value.

Request Result

APS calculation result:

  • Work: The traffic in the PW protection group is transmitted over the primary PW.
  • Protect: The traffic in the PW protection group is transmitted over the secondary or bypass PW.
Wtr Interval(s)

WTR time for PW APS switchback, in seconds.

HoldOff Interval(ms)

Hold time for PW APS switching, in milliseconds.
