Function

The display negotiation-mode command displays the working mode of the clock on a GE electrical interface at the physical layer.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To view the working mode of the clock on a GE electrical interface at the physical layer, run the display negotiation-mode command. The working mode is displayed only when the physical status of the interface is Up.

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

The actual command output varies according to the device. The command output here is only an example.

Negotiation result is

Negotiated working mode of the clock on the interface at the physical layer:

-master: The clock on the interface works in master mode at the physical layer.

-slave: The clock on the interface works in slave mode at the physical layer.

-not support: The interface does not support synchronous Ethernet, because the interface rate is not 1 Gbit/s.
