display port-observing interface

Function

The display port-observing interface command displays the configuration of an observing port on an interface board.

Format

display port-observing interface [ slot slot-id | interface-type interface-number | interface-name ]

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
slot slot-id	Specifies the slot number of an installed interface board. If slot slot-id is specified, the configuration of the observing port on a specified interface board is displayed; otherwise, configurations of the observing ports on all interface boards are displayed.	The value is a string of 1 to 15 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.
interface-type	Specifies an interface type.	-
interface-number	Specifies an interface number.	-
interface-name	Specifies an interface name.	-

Usage Scenario

After configuring port mirroring and observing ports on interface boards, you can run the display port-observing command to view the configuration of the observing port on a specified interface board.

Prerequisites

You must configure an observing port before running the display port-observing command to view the configuration of the observing port; otherwise, no command output is displayed.

Interface	Indicates the observing port.
L-Header	Indicates whether the packet is mirrored from the link layer header.
Obs-index	Indicates the index number of the observing port.
Status	Whether the interface can function as a valid observing port. Up: The interface can function as a valid observing port. Down: The interface cannot function as a valid observing port.
Description	Indicates the description of the observing port.
Dest-MAC	Indicates the destination MAC address specified on the observing port.
