Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When a device that functions as an 802.1X supplicant performs 802.1X authentication, you need to run the dot1x-supplicant-template command to configure an 802.1X supplicant template in the system view. The 802.1X supplicant template defines parameters for authentication negotiation between the supplicant and the authenticator. You need to bind the supplicant template to the interface on which the 802.1X supplicant function is enabled. The supplicant uses the parameters defined in the 802.1X supplicant template for authentication negotiation with the authenticator.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
