emdi lpu-group

Function

The emdi lpu-group command creates an EMDI board group or enters an EMDI board group.

The undo emdi lpu-group command deletes an EMDI board group.

By default, the board group named _default_ exists.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

emdi lpu-group lpu-group-name

undo emdi lpu-group lpu-group-name

Parameters

lpu-group-name

Specifies the name of a board group.

The name is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

As a distributed board detection solution, the EMDI detection solution requires the configuration of boards for EMDI detection. Before configuring boards for EMDI detection, run the emdi lpu-group command to create a board group and bind desired boards to the board group for EMDI detection.

Follow-up Procedure

After an EMDI board group has been created or entered, run the emdi bind slot command to bind desired boards to the board group.

Precautions

A maximum of 32 board groups are supported.
