emdi channel-group

Function

The emdi channel-group command creates an EMDI channel group or enters an EMDI channel group.

The undo emdi channel-group command deletes an EMDI channel group.

By default, no EMDI channel group is created.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

emdi channel-group channel-group-name

undo emdi channel-group channel-group-name

Parameters

channel-group-name

Specifies the name of an EMDI channel group.

The name is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Multicast channels to be detected need to be configured before the EMDI detection solution is used. Before configuring the channels to be detected, run the emdi channel-group command to create an EMDI channel group and then add the multicast channels to the channel group.

Follow-up Procedure

After an EMDI channel group is created or entered, run the emdi channel command to add multicast channels to the channel group.

Precautions

A maximum of 32 EMDI channel groups are supported.
