ethernet pvid

Function

The ethernet pvid command specifies a default VLAN ID for an interface. After the interface receives untagged packets, it adds a VLAN tag carrying the default VLAN ID to the packets.

The undo ethernet pvid command deletes the default VLAN ID of an interface.

By default, no default VLAN ID is specified for interfaces.

Format

ethernet pvid vlan-id

undo ethernet pvid [ vlan-id ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vlan-id

Specifies the default VLAN ID of an interface.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 4094.

Configuration Impact

The ethernet pvid command applies only to scenarios in which users access an L2VPN through an interface.
