preference (preference-based view)

Function

The preference command sets the precedence of DF election for an ESI instance.

The undo preference command deletes the precedence of DF election configured for an ESI instance.

By default, no DF election precedence is configured for an ESI instance.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In multi-homing networking, if users want to specify the master DF based on the precedence of an ESI instance, run the df-election type preference-based command to enter the preference-based view. Then, run the preference preference command to set a DF precedence. The larger value of preference , the higher precedence.
