http-hostcar enable

Function

The http-hostcar enable command enables the Hostcar function and the fast-reply function on HTTP packets of forcible web users.

The undo http-hostcar enable command disables the Hostcar function and the fast-reply function on HTTP packets of forcible web users.

By default, the Hostcar function on HTTP packets of forcible web users is disabled.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

http-hostcar [ no-fast-reply ] enable

undo http-hostcar enable

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In a scenario where the forcible web authentication is enabled in a pre-authentication domain, run the http-hostcar enable command to prevent the high CPU usage when the interface board is attacked by HTTP packets of forcible web users.

Configuration Impact

After the command is configured, the bandwidth of forcible web users that is used to send HTTP packets to the CPU is limited by the hostcar command in the slot view.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
